  All
our standard courses are run from the pretty village of Noailles near Cordes
sur Ciel in the Tarn region of South West France. There are cheap
flights (less than £100 return) from many airports in UK to Toulouse
where we will meet you. If you prefer to hire a car at the airport,
Noailles is less than an hours drive on the motorway.
Our photographers stay at our Bed and Breakfast house, Les Vignes,
or in similar accommodation nearby. The friendly, informal, family
atmosphere will ensure you have a relaxing holiday as part of your
course.
The evening meals that we all share at Les Vignes are an
unforgettable gastronomic experience of French and English cooking.
You will go home with some good recipes as well as great photographs.
Although we provide excellent meals there are plenty of
opportunities to sample the local cuisine. This includes a private
wine tasting/lunch at a local 13th century château and lunchtime
visits to excellent inexpensive local restaurants.
But we also work hard. We will sometimes have to get up early to
catch the best light and we will have to walk up a few hills
carrying our camera gear but in general our locations are easily
accessible.
We cater for photographers with all levels of ability from the
enthusiastic amateur looking for tuition in the basic techniques to
the seasoned photographer just seeking new and exciting location. To
enable us to spend as much time as possible on practical photography,
tuition is done on location. We specialize in the personal attention
that we give to every student to insure that everyone gets the most
out of their photography. We restrict attendance on our courses to a
maximum of eight photographers. Ages vary from 15 to 80+
Noailles is situated in one of the most beautiful, unspoilt, uncrowded regions of France so we make sure our photography includes
as many locations as we can and there is always time to do a little
sightseeing.
Now in our eighth season, we
have developed a successful formula to ensure that you derive the
optimum benefit from your week at Les Vignes. Our faithful clientele
who return to us for a second and even a third course, do so not
just because there are so many photography opportunities here. They
do so because of the personal service, the good food and wine, good
company and the friendly atmosphere.
